The Mendenhall Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Magee Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
It was a proper cat-fight when Mendenhall took on Forest on Thursday. Mendenhall was the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over Forest. Considering the Tigers have won nine contests by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Corrine Allen was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyleigh Williams, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
Mendenhall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Magee won against Hazlehurst on Tuesday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Magee beat Hazlehurst by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-3. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Marli Parker spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Maycie Smith was incredible, firing off two home runs, two stolen bases, and three runs while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Saphira Troney, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI.
Mendenhall has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. Magee's record is now 3-4.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mendenhall hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .439. However, it's not like Magee struggles in that department as they've averaged .408. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Mendenhall's way against Magee in their previous meeting on March 3rd, as Mendenhall made off with a 19-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mendenhall since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
