Everything went their way against the Conneaut Spartans on Friday as they made off with  an  18-7 victory. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Yellowjackets as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
The team  relied heavily on  Aidan Maher, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, four  runs,  and three  RBI. Those  four  hits gave  him a new career-high.  Mason Kalicky was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Girard  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits in three consecutive  matches.
Girard's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Conneaut,  they are  on  a  26-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.
 Girard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Conneaut, they will be taking part in a tournament against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
