Lemont has gone a perfect 10-0 against Thornton Fractional North recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lemont HS will host the Meteors at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lemont has six straight victories, Thornton Fractional North has 15 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Lemont had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Oak Forest on Monday. The Lemont HS never let the Bengals get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Lemont HS have won 16 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Claire Podrebarac was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Lagan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Lemont was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Thornton Fractional North came up short against Oak Lawn on Monday, falling 16-1.

Lemont's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Thornton Fractional North, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-18.

Lemont took their victory against Thornton Fractional North in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 19-0 score. Will the Lemont HS repeat their success, or do the Meteors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
