College Prep is 9-1 against Redwood Christian since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The College Prep Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Redwood Christian Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
College Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 60-53 to Athenian. While losing is never fun, College Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 699th, while Athenian is ranked 286th).
Meanwhile, Redwood Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bentley. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Redwood Christian in their matchups with Bentley: they've now lost three in a row.
College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Redwood Christian, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 5-13.
College Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Redwood Christian in their previous meeting last Wednesday, winning 62-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for College Prep since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
