The Packinghouse Christian Academy Bears lost against the Calvary Baptist Cougars back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Packinghouse Christian Academy was outmatched by Calvary Baptist at home and fell 93-53. While losing is never fun, Packinghouse Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1256th, while Calvary Baptist is ranked 586th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Calvary Baptist to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nathan Moussa, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Pier Mancin was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists and two steals.
Packinghouse Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Calvary Baptist, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-4.
Packinghouse Christian Academy will square off against Ambassador at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ambassador is coming into the match with four straight losses on the road, so Packinghouse Christian Academy is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Calvary Baptist, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cornerstone Christian at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Cornerstone Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
