If the Stargate School Eagles were feeling good off their 73-40 takedown of the Regis Groff Fusion last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Stargate School suffered a tough 68-42 defeat at the hands of Colorado Academy on Wednesday. Stargate School has not had much luck with Colorado Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Stargate School lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Connor Rusch, who scored 14 points. Hunter Roark was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Stargate School's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Colorado Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Stargate School will head out on the road to take on Jefferson Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jefferson Academy will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Colorado Academy will take on Forge Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Forge Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
