Football Recap: Laurel Piles Up the Points Against North Pike

Laurel got themselves on the board against North Pike on Friday, but North Pike never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Jaguars 39-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Golden Tornadoes just coasted through the last quarter.

Laurel's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for North Pike, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Laurel will square off against rival Sumrall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, North Pike is set to face off against their familiar foe Brookhaven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
