Bowie put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Callisburg Wildcats as they made off with a 19-3 victory.
Kp Rutherford and Serenity Klump were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Rutherford pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Klump struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Rutherford has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season. At bat, Rutherford went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI, while Klump got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Laci Goodwin was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhyan Carl, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Bowie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Coming up, Bowie will head out on the road to take on Mineral Wells at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Callisburg, they will host Nimitz at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
