Newark Memorial is a perfect 10-0 against Kennedy since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cougars will host the Titans at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, Newark Memorial made easy work of Washington and carried off a 19-4 victory. Considering the Cougars have won five matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Newark Memorial got a massive performance out of Andrea Tall, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and one triple. Tall has been hot, having posted at least one home run the last five times she's played. Mahlyah Sao was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4.
Newark Memorial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .578. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washington only posted an OBP of .370.
Meanwhile, Kennedy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with a 13-1 win.
Madelyn Montague and Marilyn Rivas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Montague tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Rivas tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. At bat, Montague scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Rivas went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hannah Cornell, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliette Dekker, who scored three runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Newark Memorial pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.8 runs over those games. As for Kennedy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Both Newark Memorial and Kennedy just can't seem to miss. The Cougars have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.6 hits per game. However, it's not like Kennedy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.9 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Newark Memorial was able to grind out a solid win over Kennedy in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 4-0. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
