Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Fort Mill walked away with it. They snuck past the Indian Land Warriors with a 58-54 victory on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Yellow Jackets sure are getting used to it with their 14th in a row.
Leading Fort Mill to victory were Logan Parker and Jermier Nelson. Parker went 8-for-10 to rack up 24 points and six boards, while Nelson went 5-for-7 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Parker also posted an 80% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Noah Johnson, who posted six points.
Fort Mill was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indian Land only three assists.
Indian Land's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Jones, who went 8-for-20 on his way to 25 points. Jones is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in each of the last four games he's played. Brent Michael Terrell was another key player, going 5-for-6 en route to 10 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.
Fort Mill pushed their record up to 26-2 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points over those games. As for Indian Land, their loss dropped their record down to 24-4.
Looking ahead, Fort Mill will face off against Greenville on Wednesday. Greenville will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something Fort Mill surely won't give up without a fight. Indian Land does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
