It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Crowley Gent ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 43-38 W over Northside Christian. The victory was just what Crowley needed coming off of a 55-19 defeat in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Alaysia Arvie, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 steals.
Crowley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. As for Northside Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Crowley will be playing at home against Rayne at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Rayne is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Northside Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
