Valley View is 0-6 against the Panthers since December of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Valley View Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Paradise Panthers at 6:15 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Valley View has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while the Panthers will arrive with five straight victories.
Last Friday, Valley View had to suffer through a rough 58-23 loss at the hands of the Rams. Valley View has not had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Meanwhile, Paradise put the finishing touches on their 17th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 67-22 win over Boyd on the road. Given Paradise's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 1277th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Paradise got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Channing Beauvais out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Beauvais hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Brooklyn Force was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Valley View has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Paradise, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-7.
Valley View was dealt a bruising 68-16 defeat at the hands of the Panthers when the teams last played back in January. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Valley View was down 49-0.
