The Northside Eagles won the last time they faced the Perry Panthers, and things went their way on Saturday too. Northside came out on top against Perry by a score of 65-54. That looming 65-54 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Northside yet this season.
Ej Riley was the offensive standout of the game as he dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. He set a new season high mark in steals with four. Jordan Gaines was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Northside's victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Perry, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Northside will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rutland at 8:30 p.m. on December 27th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Michael Simmons and Keron Milton jr.. Perry will be home for the holidays to greet Hawkinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hawkinsville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday.
