Robinson fell 69-56 to Plant City on Tuesday. Robinson has not had much luck with Plant City recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Robinson had strong showings from LaJesse Harrold, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Jordan Mickens, who scored 17 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zyon Floyd, who scored five points.
Plant City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gavin Tinsley, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. Tinsley hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Leroy Lucas, who scored 12 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
Robinson's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-9. As for Plant City, their victory was their 17th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
Robinson and Durant will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Durant is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Plant City, they will head out on the road to take on Santa Fe Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Santa Fe Catholic's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten games.
