Archbishop Hoban won against Louisville last Tuesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Knights didn't even let the Western Reserve Academy Pioneers on the board, marking the Knights' second-straight 8-0 shutout. Considering the Knights have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Archbishop Hoban's third in a row) raised their record to 11-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Western Reserve Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Archbishop Hoban and Western Reserve Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Knights will face off against St. Edward at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (18 vs. 151). Meanwhile, Western Reserve Academy (ranked 62nd) will meet Firestone (ranked 380th) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
