It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Central Noble had no problem doing just that  on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the South Adams Starfires, sneaking past  4-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  6-3  back in April.

 Grace Swank made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 Swank wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Kensy Kimmell, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.  Kennedy Vice was another,  going 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
Central Noble has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for South Adams,  with the  loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 24-6.
 Coming up, Central Noble will challenge Rossville at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Cougars 2.1, the Hornets 2.8) so any  runs scored will be well earned. South Adams does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
