Minnechaug Regional has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Westfield Bombers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Minnechaug Regional will be strutting in after a win while Westfield will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Minnechaug Regional beat Pittsfield 50-45. 50 seems to be a good number for Minnechaug Regional as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Westfield's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in December of 2023 after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Pittsfield 60-25.
Minnechaug Regional's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1. As for Westfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Minnechaug Regional strolled past Westfield in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 by a score of 51-36. Does Minnechaug Regional have another victory up their sleeve, or will Westfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
