The Meridian Yellowjackets entered their tilt with the Iredell Dragons with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Meridian secured a 35-30 W over Iredell on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Meridian also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Meridian was led to victory by Josh Nunez and Matty Jones. Nunez scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals, while Jones scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The game was Jones' seventh in a row with at least ten points.
Meridian now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Iredell, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meridian will take on Penelope at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Penelope will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Iredell, they will be playing at home against Rising Star at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
