The St. Andrew's Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 46-30 bruising from Bulloch Academy. While losing is never fun, St. Andrew's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 454th, while Bulloch Academy is ranked 145th).
St. Andrew's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Addison Yates, who scored nine points.
Ashantay Noble was her usual excellent self, scoring 13 points for Bulloch Academy. Kaley Cardell was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
St. Andrew's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-12. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.3 points per game. As for Bulloch Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Andrew's will take on Pinewood Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bulloch Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Frederica Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th.
