St. Martinville can attribute much of their success to Delian Mallery, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds, and Makharee Narcisse, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. Jaylon Jones was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Abbeville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crowley.
St. Martinville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-15 record this season. As for Abbeville, they bumped their record down to 2-16 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
