Soccer Recap: Lake Nona Has No Trouble Against Lake Howell

Lake Nona kept a clean sheet against Lake Howell on Friday. They blew past the Lake Howell Silverhawks 8-0. Considering the Lions have won five games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Lake Howell from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Gabriel Campos led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Lake Nona has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-0-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Lake Howell, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Lake Nona will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Freedom at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Lake Howell will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Lake Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
