The Morgan Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Ellington Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Morgan is ranked 76th, while Ellington is ranked 96th).
After soaring to 40 points the game before, Morgan were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were dealt a 49-6 defeat at the hands of Rockville.
Meanwhile, Ellington entered their tilt with Stafford/Somers/East Windsor with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Ellington was the clear victor by a 31-6 margin over Stafford/Somers/East Windsor.
Ellington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tristan Neville out in front who picked up 150 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Neville's longest reception was for an incredible 72 yards. Cooper Koehnke and his 94 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Ellington's victory.
Rockville's victory bumped their season record to 5-1 while Morgan's defeat dropped theirs to 4-3.
Morgan might still be hurting after the 48-28 loss they got from Ellington in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Can Morgan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
