The East Lawrence Eagles fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took a serious blow against West Morgan on Friday, falling 64-18. While losing is never fun, East Lawrence can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 306th, while West Morgan is ranked 52nd).
West Morgan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ti'Airrius Mosley led the charge by picking up 92 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Jalen Fletcher was another key contributor, rushing for 78 yards and two touchdowns.
East Lawrence's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for West Morgan, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which somehow isn't as good as their 8-0 record this season.
East Lawrence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Morgan is also done with their season.
