The King Abdullah Academy Falcons had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 52-36 win over Immanuel Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as King Abdullah Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January.
King Abdullah Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zak Osman out in front who scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of AD Ahmed, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Immanuel Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Blanding, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luke Burnside, who scored 6 points.
King Abdullah Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Immanuel Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
King Abdullah Academy will head out on the road to face off against Wakefield School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Immanuel Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against E.L. Haynes at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
