After flying high against the Billingsley Bears on Friday, the Jemison Panthers came back down to earth. Jemison took a serious blow against Chilton County on Monday, falling 53-20. Jemison has not had much luck with Chilton County recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Chilton County found their leader in underclassman Marshall Thornhill, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was DJ Caffey, who scored 11 points.
Jemison has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Chilton County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jemison will challenge Thorsby at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Thorsby is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games. Chilton County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Elmore County at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Elmore County comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
