The St. Martin de Porres Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Kirtland Hornets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. St. Martin de Porres will be strutting in after a victory while Kirtland will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Monday, St. Martin de Porres earned a 36-23 win over Open Door Christian.
Lyric Johnson was her usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Dessiona Jackson, who scored six points along with four steals and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Kirtland was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 36-32 to Crestwood. Kirtland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The victory got St. Martin de Porres back to even at 8-8. As for Kirtland, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
