The Nixa Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by Lebanon on the road to the tune of 82-48. That 82-48 margin sets a new team best for Nixa this season.
Lebanon lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Morgan Durbin, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. Those eight rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Loran Mooney, who scored 11 points.
The victory (which was Nixa's sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Lebanon, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Nixa's road trip will continue as they head out to face Strafford at 3:30 p.m. on December 28th. Strafford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Nixa is ranked 16th). Lebanon won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bolivar at 3:30 p.m. on December 28th.
