Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Grace Prep Lions, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 41-22 to the Lions. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Grace Prep in their matchups with Trinity Christian: they've now lost five in a row.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaden Lehew, who rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 67 yards and a touchdown. Bryce Prince also helped out as he racked up 100 rushing yards.
Grace Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Trinity Christian, they have yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record.
Grace Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Trinity Christian will square off against Dallas Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dallas Christian will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
