Farmersville is a perfect 3-0 against Pottsboro since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Farmersville Farmers will take on the Pottsboro Cardinals at 9:00 a.m. Pottsboro took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Farmersville, who comes in off a win.

Farmersville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over Collinsville on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Farmers with their most commanding win of the season.

V Reyes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Jacey Wheaton was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Kaylie Casados also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

Farmersville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .565. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Pottsboro came up short against Collinsville on Thursday and fell 9-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost four in a row.

Rylee Perry made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2. Scarlett Casanada was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Farmersville's record is now 3-5-2. As for Pottsboro, they now have a losing record of 4-5-1.

Farmersville was able to grind out a solid victory over Pottsboro when the teams last played back in February of 2019, winning 7-2. Does Farmersville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pottsboro turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
