Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Hollins Royals, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 61-43 to the Warhawks. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hollins in their matchups with Seminole: they've now lost four in a row.
Malachi Miller and Josh Castallani certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Miller scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two blocks, while Castallani scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jerron McNair, who scored three points along with four steals.
Hollins' defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Seminole, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.
Hollins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Seminole is on the road again on Saturday and plays Northeast on February 10th. One thing working in Northeast's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
