The Southside Panthers the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Ellwood Christian Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on January 26th. Southside has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Southside posted their biggest victory yet this season on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 58-34 margin over Greensboro.
Meanwhile, Ellwood Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 18th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Calhoun, falling 97-38. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ellwood Christian in their matchups with Calhoun: they've now lost four in a row.
Southside's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Ellwood Christian, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-19.
Southside skirted past Ellwood Christian 56-54 in their previous matchup back in November of 2019. Does Southside have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ellwood Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
