In Division II, Chico, Pleasant Valley, Foothill and Shasta all think they've got what it takes to bring home the title. In D-III, a crowded field is headed by traditional powers West Valley, Sutter, Lassen and, this year, Paradise, which is playing down a division after last year's Camp Fire gutter the town.
In Division IV, East Nicolaus and Pierce look to be the cream of the crop, but don't count out Colusa or Modoc. The D-V field is crowded with Biggs being chased by Fall River, Los Molinos, Etna and Portola.
In 8-Man action, which begins on Nov. 8, Chester is the top team in the south while Redding Christian and Big Valley are battling for the north one-seed.
The Division II and III championship games are set for Nov. 30, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, while the D-IV and D-V title games are slated for Nov. 27, the Wednesday before Turkey Day. The Division VI 8-man finals are set for Nov. 22.
The home field of one of the finals participants will serve as the host site of each sectional championship game.
Champions in 2018 include Pleasant Valley (D-II), West Valley (D-III), East Nicolaus (D-IV), Fall River (D-V) and Los Molinos (8-Man).
