The Tom Bean Tomcats will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Trenton Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, Tom Bean was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 27-22 to Nocona.
Bobby Rogers put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Meanwhile, Trenton lost to Tioga at home by a decisive 37-19 margin on Friday.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jayden Candela, who rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown. Colton Gray was another key contributor, rushing for 85 yards and a touchdown.
Tom Bean's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Trenton, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Tom Bean might still be hurting after the 34-8 defeat they got from Trenton when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Will Tom Bean have more luck at home instead of on the road?
