Grand Ledge has gone 7-1 against St. Johns recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Comets will be playing at home against the Redwings at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
St. Johns will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Grand Ledge extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday. The Comets never let East Lansing get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. With that victory, the Comets brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Michael Bos was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Grand Ledge got a massive performance out of Xavier West, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave West a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyler Terranova, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Grand Ledge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .522. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Lansing only posted an OBP of .125.
Meanwhile, St. Johns got the win against Eastern on Tuesday by a conclusive 20-0. The win continues a trend for the Redwings in their matchups with the Quakers: they've now won eight in a row.
Grand Ledge's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for St. Johns, their win bumped their record up to 11-14.
Grand Ledge came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Johns in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Redwings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
