Marion-Franklin extended the longest winning streak in Columbus City - South this week by beating South, 43-21. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
West took down Briggs 79-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Walnut Ridge's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Marquez Toney threw for 184 and four touchdowns and Rob Wheelwright had 132 yards receiving. On the ground Toney chipped in 124 yards. Malik Robinson helped Walnut Ridge's passing attack out by catching three balls for 41 yards.
The Scots' Toney and Wheelwright have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Toney has thrown for 1292 yards this season, while Wheelwright, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 48 catches for 874 yards. Vincent Rambo from Independence leads the league in rushing with 1722 yards.
The Cowboys made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,950 from 9,307. The improvement was the result of 79-6 victory over the Bruins last week.
