After two weeks on the road, Sarcoxie is heading back home. On Friday they take on Diamond at 7:00 PM. Sarcoxie are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
Sarcoxie had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 29-22 win over Marionville.
Meanwhile, Diamond were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Pleasant Hope 46-6. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (40) and coasted on those for the victory.
Their wins bumped Diamond to 3-4 and Sarcoxie to 4-3. In their victory, Diamond relied heavily on senior Chad Stephens, who rushed for 103 yards and 3 touchdowns. Sarcoxie will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
