Sadly, the Central Bears are still looking for their first win of the season after 21 matches. They took a serious blow against Classical Prep on Monday, falling 49-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Central of the 49-12 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Elena Sanchez was Central's leading scorer, having posted three points.
Anyah Bonneau held things down on the boards with three rebounds.
Leading Classical Prep to victory were Kaelyn Malloy and Mia Milanes. Malloy dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds, while Milanes dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Malloy has scored at least a third of Classical Prep's points.

Central will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Citrus at 6:30 p.m. Central comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Classical Prep, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Academy at the Lakes at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Classical Prep is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
