Simon Kenton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Tates Creek, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Pioneers blew past the Commodores 16-4 on Friday. Considering the Pioneers have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Simon Kenton, bringing their record up to 8-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Tates Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Simon Kenton will welcome Williamstown at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Tates Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Webster County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Commodores are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
