Eliza Long put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Alyse Sistrunk was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one double.
Meanwhile, Acadiana Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 21-6 to Christian Home Educators Fellowship. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly 15 runs.
Zoe Marcombe made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Madey Nguyen also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
