Scott hasn't had much luck against Winfield recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Skyhawks will look to defend their home field against the Generals at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Scott 4, Winfield 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Scott is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Fulton get on the board and left with a 19-0 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Skyhawks, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.
Kambri Beard and Cambri Barker made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Beard tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Barker pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had over her last two matchups. At bat, Beard went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI, while Barker got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Amelia Smith was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Shultz, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Scott always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .774. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Winfield faced Chapmanville Regional in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Generals walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Tigers. The win was nothing new for the Generals as they're now sitting on three straight.
Winfield's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Scott, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.
Scott couldn't quite finish off Winfield in their previous meeting last Saturday and fell 3-1. Will the Skyhawks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
