The Edison Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 52-27 loss at the hands of Jasper-Troupsburg. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Edison has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jasper-Troupsburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landon Zver, who scored 15 points. Zver is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Troxel, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Edison dropped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Jasper-Troupsburg, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Watkins Glen at 7:15 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Jasper-Troupsburg, they will head out on the road to challenge Addison at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
