After having lost a blowout in their previous game against La Salle Academy, Smithfield was happy to have turned things around on Sunday. Everything went their way against the North Kingstown Skippers as they made off with a 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Sentinels, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Crystal Cacador made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Cacador was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Smithfield let Madison Kennedy and Lily Riggin run wild. Kennedy went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double, while Riggin went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
