Section 9 C-II recap September 10, 2013
Millbrook scaled the state rankings by moving to 182 from 267 this week, the biggest jump in Section 9 C-II. The Blazers were able to make move up by defeating Spackenkill 38-0.
Sullivan West lost to Burke Catholic 46-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Richard Shevak threw for 40 yards and ran for 53 yards in the loss.
Joe Daley was the best wideout in the league this week as Millbrook topped the Spartans.
Henry Cardinal provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Sean Keenan's team topped Spackenkill.
Michael Decarmo made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Blazers beat Clinton DeSouza's team. The 6-foot-0 defensive end.
Shevak put up the best numbers through the air as Sullivan West lost to the Eagles. Shevak's favorite target this week was Eli Peters, who caught 3 passes for 29 yards.
Cardinal was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 135 yards on 23 carries as Millbrook bested the Spartans. Daley also contributed to the rushing game with 75 yards on the ground.
The Blazers led Section 9 C-II in scoring this week by notching 38 points on Spackenkill. Cardinal during the win.
