West Stokes kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the Reagan Raiders. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-11.
Reagan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brielynd Riddle led the charge by getting six digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Klaire Weiss, who had three digs and two aces.
Looking ahead, West Stokes will challenge East Forsyth at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Reagan, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against South Stokes at 6:15 p.m.
