Football Recap: Northeastern Piles Up the Points Against Triad

Northeastern came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Triad Cardinals 42-0. Considering the Jets have won seven games by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Diezel Taylor was his usual excellent self, throwing for 240 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 33 yards and one TD. Jacoby Newman was another key player, picking up 149 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Northeastern's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Triad, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

As of now, neither Northeastern nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
