The Jasper Wildcats lost against the Evansville Memorial Tigers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Jasper received a tough blow as they fell 53-37 to Evansville Memorial. Jasper has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Evansville Memorial found their leader in underclassman Dylen Kendrick, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Luke Ellspermann was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Jasper's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Evansville Memorial, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jasper will square off against Southridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Evansville Memorial, they will head out on the road to face off against Evansville Bosse at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Evansville Bosse is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
