The Hudson Cobras will square off against the Pasco Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Hudson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Gulf get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The Cobras haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Not much got past Gracie Gutierrez, who gave up just five hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Gulf off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jesse Anderson, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alivia Evans, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Pasco had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Bulldogs.
Abigail Grubbs made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Grubbs wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Addison Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Hudson's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Pasco, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.
Pasco's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hudson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .366. It's a different story for Pasco, though, as they've only averaged .193. Will they be able to contain Hudson's hitters?
Hudson beat Pasco 10-6 in their previous matchup on April 11th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cobras since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
