Liberty Union was led to victory by Morgan Love and Haedan Brunty. Love scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Brunty scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Brunty pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Liberty Union's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9. As for Fairfield Union, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 4-9.
Liberty Union will head out on the road to face off against Teays Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Teays Valley's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Liberty Union has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. Fairfield Union will take on Bloom-Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bloom-Carroll presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fairfield Union in Ohio (Bloom-Carroll is ranked 111th, while Fairfield Union is ranked 394th).
