They will face off against the St. Mary Catholic Central Falcons/Kestrels at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 510th, while St. Mary Catholic Central is ranked 64th).
Last Monday, things could have been worse for Jefferson, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-43 loss to Riverview.
Meanwhile, St. Mary Catholic Central beat Huron 49-38 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Mary Catholic Central.
Jefferson has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for St. Mary Catholic Central, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
Things could have been worse for Jefferson, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 40-24 loss to St. Mary Catholic Central when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Jefferson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
