The Antwerp Archers lost to the Ottoville Big Green back in December of 2022, but the Antwerp Archers didn't allow the Ottoville Big Green the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Antwerp secured a 46-42 W over Ottoville. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Antwerp.
Antwerp's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carson Altimus, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Landon Brewer was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Antwerp's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Ottoville, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-1.
Antwerp will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Continental at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Ottoville will be home for the holidays to greet Fort Jennings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Jennings will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 306th, while Ottoville is ranked 64th).
